A Valentine's Day video with AI works best as a short scene with the two of you in it: a romantic moment from a film, a music video you both love, or a funny dance that turns into a love note. With vswp you pick a video from Trends or upload your own, add a photo of each person to swap in, and AI puts them into the scene while the moves, camera, lighting and sound stay as in the original. It usually takes a few minutes, so it works even if you remember on February 14 itself.

Who is a Valentine's video for?

February 14 isn't only for couples any more. A few ways people use the day:

  • Your partner. The classic: the two of you as the couple in a scene that feels like yours.
  • A long-distance partner. When you can't be together on the day, a video of you two in one scene is the next best thing.
  • Your best friends. Many people spend the day with friends instead, and in many Latin American countries it's the Day of Love and Friendship. A group scene works well here.
  • A crush. Possible, but keep it light, and only if you know the person well enough that it won't feel strange.

Ideas for a Valentine's Day video

Idea Who is in it Tone
The two of you in a famous romantic film scene You and your partner Sweet
Your song, with you two as the couple in its music video You and your partner Sweet
A horror opening that ends in a hug You and your partner Funny, then sweet
A knight who brings flowers You and your partner Playful
A dance trend with your friends as the cast Two to six friends Funny
Your partner alone as the star of a scene they love Your partner "You're my hero"

Two ready scenes from Trends fit the day well. In Zombie Love Story a horror opening ends in a hug instead of a bite. In Knight Sword Swap a knight hands over flowers, with two people to swap in. More scenes for two are in putting you and your partner into a romantic movie scene, and the Trends list is worth a scroll for dances and memes.

For a friends' version, funny video ideas with friends has scenes that work with a group.

How do you choose a good scene?

Pick by meaning first, then check the clip will work:

  • One clear moment. vswp processes one part of up to 30 seconds. Choose the kiss, the chorus or the punchline, not a slow build-up.
  • Faces you can see. Faces that are large, lit and turned to the camera come out best. A kiss in deep shadow, faces hidden by hands, or very fast camera motion may need another take.
  • The right number of people. One video can use up to 6 different photos. Everyone without a photo stays as in the original.

Use only a video you have the right to use. If you upload your own clip, it can be 1 to 120 seconds and up to 150 MB, in any common format.

Which photos should you use?

For each person, one sharp photo of that person alone, in even light, with the whole face visible and no sunglasses. For a surprise, a recent photo you already have saves you from asking for "a photo for something" and giving it away.

Then decide on "Keep the original look":

  • On: the clothes from the scene stay and only faces and hair change. Good for a suit, an evening dress, armor or a costume. A clear portrait is enough.
  • Off: clothes, hair and silhouette come from your photos. Use a full-body photo of each person alone, because a portrait cannot show clothing it doesn't contain.

How to make it, step by step

  1. Start a few days before February 14 if you can, so there is time for another take.
  2. Sign in at vswp.app with Telegram. There's no password, and the person you're sending it to doesn't need an account.
  3. Pick the scene from Trends or upload your own video. For an upload, the person search runs on the first 30 seconds automatically, usually in a couple of minutes, and it's free. In a longer clip you can choose another part of up to 30 seconds.
  4. Add the photos to the cards of the people they should replace.
  5. Set the look with "Keep the original look".
  6. Check with the free preview. Every new user gets one: "Make the free preview" shows about 5 seconds at 480p with a small "vswp.app" mark.
  7. Make the full video: choose 480p or 720p, check the estimated time and the price, and press "Create the full video". Paid videos have no mark.
  8. Watch it before the day. If a face doesn't look quite right, pressing "Create video" again makes a new take, which is a new render.

How do you send it on the day?

You get an MP4 of the processed part, up to 30 seconds, with the original sound. vswp doesn't add text, so your words go around the video:

  • First thing in the morning. Send it with a short message of your own, so it's the first thing they see.
  • At dinner. Hand over your phone or play it on a TV before dessert.
  • With a caption. Add "Happy Valentine's Day" in your phone's video editor or the stories editor.
  • With a card or flowers. Write the words by hand and show the video after.

More ways to hand over a video are in an AI video as a gift.

What about consent?

Use someone's photo only if you know they'd be fine with it, and show the video to them privately first. Post it publicly only if everyone in it agrees; with a crush, keep it private. Pressing "Create video" confirms you have the right to use the video and the photos. Rules differ by country, and this is not legal advice; in the EU, the AI Act's disclosure rule for deepfakes applies from August 2026, so label the video as AI-made if you publish it.

How much does it cost?

The free preview costs nothing; the number of free previews per day is limited, and the app says when the next one frees up. The full video is paid in Telegram Stars (⭐). The price depends on the length, the quality and the number of people you replace, and the exact price is shown before you start. Stars are taken when a render starts and returned automatically if it fails or is canceled.

FAQ

Can I make a Valentine's video on February 14 itself?

Yes. Most videos are ready in minutes, and the app shows the estimated time before you start. Starting a few days early still helps if a moment needs another take.

Can I make a Valentine's video with friends instead of a partner?

Yes. Pick a group scene and add one photo per friend, up to 6 different photos in one video.

Does my partner need an account to watch it?

No. Only you sign in with Telegram. They just get an ordinary MP4 file.

Will the song from the scene stay?

Yes. The result keeps the original audio of the part you processed.

What if the face doesn't look like my partner?

Make another take, try a sharper photo with the face larger, or pick a part of the clip where the person is closer to the camera. Our guide on what to do when an AI face swap doesn't look like you has more fixes.
