What is the Say It Right Pedra do Sal dance?
It is a 20-second phone video of a street party. The lead dancer, in a cap, dark sunglasses, a chain and an open light shirt over a white T-shirt, moves to the song with calm, controlled steps and hand gestures, while the people around him follow the same moves. Next to him a dancer in a white tank top and a straw hat dances along, and behind them a dancer with braids joins in. The crowd fills the street, a bright street lamp flares above them, and old painted walls frame the scene.
What makes it work is the contrast: a soft 2000s pop song, a dense Rio night crowd and a lead dancer who is perfectly unbothered by all of it.
Where does the original video come from?
The 20-second original was posted by @iae.zenegao. We could not confirm the exact post or its date, so this page links no source video.
The place is Pedra do Sal, a rock staircase and small square in the Saúde neighborhood of Rio's port zone, part of the area known as Pequena África (Little Africa). It is often called a cradle of samba: early samba musicians met there, and today it hosts open-air samba nights that fill the street, as in this clip. The song is "Say It Right" by Nelly Furtado, a 2006 single from her album Loose, which had a second life on TikTok years later.
Who and what is in it?
- The lead in the cap: front left, closest to the camera, with sunglasses, a goatee and a chain. He sets the moves.
- The dancer in the white tank top: front right, in a straw hat, dancing beside the lead and holding a drink.
- The dancer with braids: just behind them, in the middle of the frame, partly hidden by the others at times.
- The crowd and the scene: dozens of people, phones in the air, stalls with blue awnings, painted walls and the street lamp. They all stay as in the original.
- The music: "Say It Right" as it plays in the clip.
How to make the Say It Right Pedra do Sal dance with AI
- Open the Say It Right Pedra do Sal trend and sign in with Telegram. No password is needed.
- Add one to three photos: to the lead in the cap, the dancer in the white tank top and the dancer with braids. Anyone without a photo stays as in the original.
- Choose whether to keep the original look. On, the cap, sunglasses, tank top and straw hat stay and only faces and hair change. Off, each photo also sets the clothes.
- Make the free preview if your account still has it: about 5 seconds at 480p with a small vswp.app mark.
- Create the full video. It is paid in Telegram Stars, and the price is shown before you start.
- Download the MP4 with the original sound, or share it.
For three friends, the guide recreate a trend with friends helps split the roles. Other street and dance clips are in all trends.
Which photo for each role?
The lead in the cap wears dark sunglasses in the clip. With "Keep the original look" on, they stay, so your eyes will not show; the AI works from the rest of your face, so pick a sharp, front-facing photo with your whole face visible. Turn the look off if you want to appear without the glasses and cap.
The dancer in the white tank top is the clearest face in the frame, lit by the street lamp from above. A well-lit photo where you look slightly to the side matches his pose well.
The dancer with braids is the smallest and most often covered, so a clear close-up portrait gives the AI the most to work with.
Use one person per photo, no group shots and no heavy filters. More tips are in the photo guide. This is generative AI, not frame-exact editing: in a dense crowd, faces passing in front of a role can need another take. If a role does not land, go back to the trend and try another photo.
