What is the That's My Dawg club trend?
The joke is the contrast: on a packed dance floor, a gray-haired man in a vacation shirt breaks into loose, confident freestyle steps, and a rap hook, "that's my dawg" (roughly "that's my guy"), turns it into pure approval. Since 2023 it has been a reaction meme, and as an AI template it's funniest with someone nobody expects to dance like that.
The vswp version is a 4-second cut: one burst of the dance, one person to replace. It's a different clip from the hallway That's My Dawg trend, a 27-second solo dance at home.
Where does the original video come from?
The footage was first posted on TikTok in October 2023 by Roldan Dançarino (@roldandancarino), a Brazilian account of freestyle dance videos and '90s parties. The original video, shot on a phone, runs about half a minute with its own audio.
Days later the parody account Eggs Tyrone, known for putting unexpected songs over dance videos, reposted it with "My Dawg", Lil Baby's 2017 debut single, crediting Roldan. That version spread under captions like "THAT'S MY DAWG!!!!!", and the hook became the dance's name. Football pages joked that the dancer was José Mourinho, then coaching AS Roma, so some call it the Mourinho dance.
Who and what is in it?
- The dancer. The only person you replace: gray hair, a short-sleeved black-and-white floral shirt, white shorts with a belt, dark shoes. In the trend's frame he's mid-step, one knee up, an arm across his chest, head down.
- The crowd. A man in a pink T-shirt, a woman in denim shorts, a guy in a cap at the back and a man in a gray T-shirt at the right edge. They stay as in the original.
- The place. A tiled floor under colored lights, tables on the left and a Brazilian flag hanging from the ceiling.
- The camera. A vertical phone video shot from inside the crowd.
How to make the That's My Dawg club video with AI
- Pick one photo: yours, or a friend's if they agree.
- Open the That's My Dawg club trend. The dancer is already found.
- Sign in with Telegram. No password needed.
- Add the photo to the dancer. Everyone else on the floor stays as is.
- Choose the look. With "Keep the original look" on, the floral shirt and white shorts stay and only the face and hair change. Off, the look comes from your photo.
- Check the price and start. It depends on length, quality and the number of people and is shown before you start. New users get one free preview at 480p with a small "vswp.app" mark; on a clip this short, it covers only part of it.
- Download the MP4. 480p or 720p with the original sound, usually ready in minutes.

Which photo works best for the dancer?
- Keep the outfit for the classic version. The floral shirt and white shorts are half the joke, so leave "Keep the original look" on; then a sharp portrait is enough.
- Full body for your own clothes. With the look off, use a full-body photo of one person, head to toe.
- A bright, clear face. He dances under dim colored light with his head down, so start from a well-lit photo with the whole face visible: no sunglasses, no hand or hair over it.
- Allow for a second take. Fast steps and the crowd can blur a hand or the face; try a better photo with "Remake with other photos".
