What is the hallway That's My Dawg trend?
"That's my dawg" is slang for "that's my guy", the line you shout when a friend does something bold. Since 2023 it's also the name of a dance meme, and people keep filming their own takes on it. The vswp clip is one of the home takes: one dancer, a whole hallway and almost half a minute of moves.
Nobody else is in the frame, so all eyes are on whoever you put in: your quiet coworker, your dad or your best friend. Send it to them with "that's my dawg" and the caption is done.
Where does the original video come from?
The meme started in October 2023. A Brazilian freestyle dance account, Roldan Dançarino, posted a phone video of an older man dancing at a party in Brazil. Days later the TikTok account Eggs Tyrone reposted it over "My Dawg", Lil Baby's 2017 debut single, and copies captioned "THAT'S MY DAWG!!!!!" spread across TikTok. Since the dancer looked a bit like the Portuguese football coach, many called him "José Mourinho". In July 2024 Fortnite even released an emote, Shimmy Wiggle, that players call the That's My Dawg dance.
That party clip is vswp's That's My Dawg club trend. The hallway video is a separate home take; we couldn't confirm who filmed it or when, so we don't name its dancer or link a source.
Who and what is in it?
- The dancer. The one person you replace: a young man with a full afro, a charcoal hoodie with a white graphic on the chest, and red patterned pants with black patches at the knees. In the trend's frame he's mid-move, feet wide apart, arms loose, mouth open.
- The hallway. A bright white entryway with a wooden floor, an arched doorway, an upstairs railing overhead, a painting of a blue vase and sneakers on the floor.
- The camera. A vertical phone video, head to toe, in soft daylight.
How to make the That's My Dawg dance with AI
- Pick one photo. Yours, or your best friend's if they agreed.
- Open the trend. Go to the hallway That's My Dawg trend. The dancer is already found.
- Sign in with Telegram. No password needed.
- Add the photo to the dancer. One photo is enough.
- Choose the look. With "Keep the original look" on, the hoodie and red pants stay and only the face and hair change. With it off, the look comes from your photo.
- Check the price and start. It's shown before you start. New users get one free preview: about 5 seconds at 480p with a small "vswp.app" mark. If a render fails or you cancel it, the Stars come back automatically.
- Download the MP4. All 27 seconds fit, at 480p or 720p with the original sound, usually ready in minutes.
Which photo works best for the dancer?
- Full body for your own clothes. A full-body photo of one person carries clothes, hair and silhouette best. Turn the look off and you dance in your own outfit.
- A portrait for the classic look. Leave the look on to keep the hoodie and red pants; then a sharp, front-facing face photo is enough.
- Your hair, not his. Hair changes with the face, so the afro becomes the hairstyle from your photo.
- Daylight and a clear face. The hallway is bright, so a daylight photo blends in. No sunglasses or hands over the face.
- A similar build helps. He's slim and dances wide; a very different build or fast hands may need another take.
