What is the Money Flex trend?
It is the oldest joke on the internet, done big: someone who has clearly had a very good day pushes stacks of money toward the lens so the bills nearly touch the camera. There is no dance and no story, only cash, a gold watch and total calm. The beat does the rest.
As an AI template it works because of who you put behind the money. Your most frugal friend, the person who always "forgets" their wallet, your boss on payday, or yourself the day before rent is due. The contrast between the face and the stacks is the whole punchline.
Where does the original video come from?
The sound is "RIO FREE" by Rio Da Yung OG, a rapper from Flint, Michigan. He released the song in December 2024, right after he got out of federal prison, and it became the title track of his EP "RIO FREE", which followed in January 2025. The song's own video showed his first day of freedom; the money flex clip is a separate video set to it.
Who filmed the money flex clip and where it first appeared is not confirmed, so this page only describes what is visible in it. Treat it as a meme video, not as footage of the rapper.
Who and what is in it?
The vswp clip is 12 seconds long, vertical, and has one person to replace: the man with the money. The camera sits low, at the edge of a table, looking up at him.
- The man. A long gray beard, a tall brown fur hat, round gold-rimmed sunglasses, a dark suit, a white shirt and a gold watch on his wrist.
- The money. Two thick fans of bills held with both hands, more bundles with purple bands stacked against his chest, and a bundle of twenties lying on the table in front of the lens.
- The room. An ordinary living room: beige walls, a ceiling fan, a lamp on a side table, a framed photo and a dark leather armchair.
Everything except the man stays as in the original, including the cash and the furniture.
How to make the RIO FREE money flex with AI
- Pick one photo. Your own, or a friend's if they agreed.
- Open the trend. Go to the Money Flex trend page. The man with the money is already found.
- Sign in with Telegram. No password needed.
- Add the photo to his card. JPEG, PNG or WebP.
- Choose the look. With "Keep the original look" on, his suit and gold watch stay and your face and hair take his place. With it off, the clothes and look come from your photo.
- Make the free preview or the full video. The preview is about 5 seconds at 480p with a small "vswp.app" mark. The full video is paid in Telegram Stars, with the price shown before you start; Stars come back automatically if a render fails or is canceled.
- Download the MP4. 480p or 720p, with the original "RIO FREE" sound, usually ready in minutes.

Which photo works for the money flex?
- A clear, front-facing face. He looks straight down into the lens, so a photo where you face the camera fits best. Sharp and well lit beats a dark selfie.
- Glasses come along. If you wear glasses in the photo, they will likely show up in the video. In the original his eyes are hidden behind sunglasses, so a photo without glasses gives the AI more of your face to work with.
- Hands are the hard part. Fingers fanning bills right in front of the lens are tricky for any AI video, so a hand or a stack may blur; another take usually fixes it.
- Your own outfit. For a hoodie or a suit of your own instead of his, use a full-body photo of one person and turn "Keep the original look" off.
