What is the tractor dance trend?
It's a two-person joke in one take. The first person dances with total commitment, as if an empty parking lot were the set of a music video and a big tractor the only scenery. The second person has one job: to ruin the shot. He pops up right in front of the lens, pulls faces, shouts along with the song, vanishes, and does it again.
The contrast is the whole point: the serious dancer, the farm machine and the friend who can't stay out of the frame. Put yourself and your best friend in it, or a brother, a partner, a colleague. People search for it as the Hideaway trend, the tractor dance or, in Russian, «танец на фоне трактора».
Where does the original video come from?
The song is Hideaway by the Canadian singer Kiesza, a 2014 hit that went to number one in the UK. Its own video is famous for being one continuous take of her dancing down a street in Brooklyn. Russian-speaking viewers may also remember the 2014 village parody of it by the Perm comedy duo Bonya and Kuzmich, which Kiesza shared and called the best parody of her song.
The tractor version is a phone-made format: by early October 2026, Russian-language AI guides were describing the «ИИ танец на фоне трактора» trend, where one person dances by a tractor and a second bursts into the frame on the chorus. The clip on vswp is one of these videos, filmed in a parking lot at sunset. Who filmed it and where has not been confirmed, so this page describes only what it shows.
Who and what is in it?
Two people to replace, each with their own photo. The clip runs about 13 seconds in one continuous shot:
- The dancer. A red-haired, bearded guy in glasses and a loose black T-shirt. He starts right at the camera, pointing into the lens, then backs off and dances full-length in front of a blue tractor, with apartment blocks and the low sun behind him. At the end he turns away.
- The friend who bursts in. A dark-haired guy in a maroon sweater. From about the third second he keeps popping into the frame, in the middle, from the left, from the right, so close to the lens that his face fills half the picture: singing, laughing, shouting.
Everything else stays as filmed: the tractor, the parked cars, the buildings and the golden evening light.
How to make the tractor dance with AI
- Open the tractor dance trend and sign in with Telegram. There is no password.
- Both people are already found. Give one photo (JPEG, PNG or WebP) to the dancer's card and one to the friend's card. Anyone without a photo stays as in the original, so you can also replace just one of them.
- Decide on "Keep the original look". On, the black T-shirt and the maroon sweater stay and only faces and hair change; off, the clothes and look come from your photos.
- Press "Make the free preview" to see about 5 seconds at 480p with a small "vswp.app" mark; every new user gets one.
- Press "Create the full video". The price in Telegram Stars depends on the length, quality and number of people and is shown before you start; the Stars come back if a render fails or is canceled.
- Download the MP4 at 480p or 720p with the original sound, typically ready in minutes.
By starting a video you confirm you have the right to use it and the photos, so ask your friend before you put them in it. More clips are in the trends list.
Which photo for each role?
- The friend: a sharp, front-facing face. In his close-ups the face fills half the frame, so every detail shows. Pick a sharp, well-lit photo with the whole face visible and nothing covering it.
- The dancer: full body for your own outfit. He is seen from head to toe most of the time, so a full-body photo of one person carries the silhouette best. Turn "Keep the original look" off to dance in your own clothes. If the photo shows glasses, you keep them in every shot.
- One person per photo. Crop a group picture so each photo shows only the person for that card.
- Fast moves. Quick arm swings and the friend's sudden jumps into the lens are hard for generative AI: hands can blur, and a take may need another try.
