A graduation video made with AI puts you and your classmates into a scene everyone knows: a movie finale, a dance trend, a team celebrating a title, or the meme your class chat has sent a hundred times. You pick the clip, add one photo per person, and AI swaps you in while the moves, camera, lighting and sound stay as in the original. With vswp each video takes a few minutes, so it works even when the party is next weekend and nobody has filmed anything.

Why make a graduation video with AI?

The usual class video is a slideshow of photos everyone has already seen. A short clip where your class walks out of a famous scene, or dances like professionals, gets a laugh at the party and gets sent around for years. Nobody has to film or rehearse, and classmates who already moved away can still be in it with one photo.

Graduation video ideas

Idea Who is in it Where it works
The class in a movie finale or "last day" scene You and up to 5 classmates The party or the last class meeting
The whole group in a dance trend Your closest friends The class chat, stories
"Us in ten years": each friend in a scene of their dream job One friend per clip A series for the class chat
A team lifting a trophy The class or a sports team The party screen
A goodbye for a friend moving away The friend and two or three others A private message
A surprise for the graduate The graduate alone A family dinner

A few tips that make these land better:

  • Pick a scene with a clear "ending" feeling. Walking out together, a final bow, a big celebration. The point is "we made it", not just "we're in a video".
  • Use your class's inside jokes. The song from every school trip or the meme that started a group chat war will mean more than this week's trend.
  • Laugh with people, not at them. Graduation photos stay around for a long time, so skip anything that would embarrass someone in front of the whole year.

Ready-made dances and memes, with the people already found, are in Trends. For more scenes to do as a group, see funny video ideas with friends.

How many classmates fit in one video?

One video can use up to 6 different photos, one per person. Everyone without a photo stays as in the original, so in a crowd scene only the people you choose change. For a bigger class, make several short videos with different groups, or one clip per friend, and play them in a row. Our guide on swapping a whole group of friends into one video shows how to match photos to the right people.

How do you collect photos from the whole class?

Pick one organizer and ask in the class chat for one photo per person, explaining what the video is so people can say no. A good photo is sharp, evenly lit, with only that person in it and the whole face visible, without sunglasses. A recent selfie beats a crop from a blurry group photo.

Then decide on Keep the original look:

  • On: the clothes from the scene stay, and only faces and hair change. A clear portrait is enough. This suits movie costumes, sports kits and gowns already in the clip.
  • Off: clothes, hair and silhouette come from the photos. A full-body photo of one person, for example in a prom outfit, carries the look best; a portrait cannot show clothing it doesn't contain.

If you're not sure which to pick, read swap only the face or the whole person. The full photo checklist is in which photos work best for an AI video swap.

How to make the video, step by step

  1. Start a week before the party. The video takes minutes, but collecting photos from a whole class takes longer.
  2. Sign in at vswp.app with Telegram. There's no password, and only the person making the video needs an account.
  3. Pick the scene from Trends or upload your own clip: 1 to 120 seconds, up to 150 MB, any common format. For an upload, the person search runs on the first 30 seconds, usually in a couple of minutes, and it's free. In a longer video you can choose another part of up to 30 seconds.
  4. Add the photos to the cards of the people they should replace. Main people come first; people seen briefly or far away are grouped as the background.
  5. Set the look with "Keep the original look".
  6. Check the free preview. If you haven't used yours, "Make the free preview" shows about 5 seconds at 480p with a small "vswp.app" mark.
  7. Make the full video: choose 480p or 720p, check the estimated time and the price, and press "Create the full video". Paid videos have no mark.
  8. Watch it before the party. If a face looks off, pressing "Create video" again makes a new take, which is a new render.

How do you show it at graduation?

You get an MP4 of the processed part, up to 30 seconds, with the original sound. vswp doesn't add text, so put the class name or the year in your phone's video editor if you want it on screen.

  • At the party, test the screen and the sound before people arrive, and keep the file on your phone as a backup.
  • In the class chat, send it as a file so everyone keeps full quality, including those who couldn't come. Our guide on sending AI video in Telegram and WhatsApp explains how.

What about consent and school rules?

Ask every person before you use their photo, and let anyone opt out without fuss. If some classmates are under age, check with their parents too. If you plan to show the video at an official school event, ask the organizers first, since schools often have rules about photos of students. Pressing "Create video" confirms you have the right to use the video and the photos. Rules differ by country, and this is not legal advice; in the EU, the AI Act's disclosure rule for deepfakes applies from August 2026, so label the video as AI-made if you publish it. More in face swap consent and safety.

How much does it cost?

The free preview costs nothing; the number of free previews per day is limited, and the app says when the next one frees up. The full video is paid in Telegram Stars (⭐). The price depends on the length, the quality and the number of people you replace, and the exact price is shown before you start. Stars are taken when a render starts and returned automatically if it fails or is canceled.

FAQ

Can the whole class be in one graduation video?

Up to 6 people per video, one photo each; everyone else in the scene stays as in the original. For a bigger class, make several short clips with different groups and play them in a row.

Can we put our teachers in the video?

Only if they agree. Ask them directly, and keep the joke kind, since the video will be seen by the whole school community.

Do my classmates need to sign up?

No. Only the person who makes the video signs in with Telegram. The others just send a photo and agree to be in it.

Can I make the video on my phone?

Yes. vswp works in the browser on phones and computers, and on a phone you can share the finished MP4 straight to Telegram, stories and other apps.
