What is the Lamine Yamal fake rabona trend?
It is a football template built on one of the skills of the October 2026 Champions League week: instead of watching Yamal fool a defender at the touchline, you do it yourself, while the Galatasaray player keeps falling for it.
It works because the move is short and readable even on a phone screen: the leg wraps behind, the defender commits, the ball is suddenly somewhere else. Give it to the friend who tries a rabona in every five-a-side game and never lands one.
Where does the original video come from?
The footage is from Galatasaray v Barcelona on Tuesday, October 13, 2026, the second matchday of the Champions League league phase, played in Istanbul. Barcelona came from behind to win 4–1, and Yamal, 19, set up two of the goals without scoring.
The trick came before Barcelona's third goal, in the 53rd minute. Yamal took the ball on the right just outside the box, stepped over it on his way to the byline, then swung his left leg behind his right as if to cross with a rabona. Instead he pulled the ball back with his left foot. Defender Eren Elmalı froze, Yamal went past him and picked out Anthony Gordon in the six-yard box. Reports differ on whether the first touch reached the ball or was only a feint followed by a drag with the sole.
Yamal himself called it a "near-rabona": he said defenders had lately been diving to the ground whenever he ran at the byline, and he saw the chance for a move that looks good and also works.
The vswp clip is the match broadcast, cut vertical and tight on the two players, with the sound of the circulating clip.
Who and what is in it?
One person to replace: the Barcelona player, filmed full length from above on the green pitch, close to the white line.
- The dribbler. Yamal in Barcelona's dark navy and purple away kit with number 10, long sleeves, black socks and light green boots.
- The defender. A Galatasaray player in the red and yellow shirt and white shorts, stepping in from the right of the frame.
- The fake. The dribbler's leg wraps behind the standing leg as if to cross; the defender reacts to the cross that never comes.
- The drag-back. The ball goes the other way and the dribbler slips past.
The Galatasaray defender stays as in the clip; only the Barcelona player changes.
How to make the Lamine Yamal fake rabona with AI
- Open Lamine Yamal — Fake Rabona and sign in with Telegram, no password needed.
- The dribbler is already found: give his card one photo (JPEG, PNG or WebP).
- Choose the look. With "Keep the original look" on, the Barcelona number 10 kit stays and only the face and hair change; off, the clothes come from your photo.
- Press "Make the free preview": about 5 seconds at 480p with a small "vswp.app" mark, one per new user.
- Press "Create the full video". The price in Telegram Stars is shown first, and the Stars come back if a render fails or is canceled.
- Download the vertical MP4 at 480p or 720p with the clip's sound, typically ready in minutes.
Starting a video confirms you have the right to use the video and the photos, so ask a friend before you give them Yamal's trick. More clips are in the trends list.
Which photo for the dribbler?
- Full length, one person. The camera looks down at a running player, so build and hair carry the likeness as much as the face: a sharp full-body photo of you alone works best.
- Barcelona's kit or yours. With the original look on, a sharp portrait is enough to play in the number 10 shirt. To do the trick in your own team's kit, turn it off, use a full-body photo in it and check the preview.
- Hard spots. Crossed legs, the ball at the feet and the quick change of direction are hard for generative AI; if the legs or the ball look off, make another take.
