What is the Metro Run trend?
It is a joke everyone who rides a subway knows: the run you make when the doors are about to close, and the face you have afterward. The man in the clip doesn't explain anything. He just walks toward the lens with his eyes half closed and his mouth open, catching his breath, while the platform and the train slide by behind him.
That deadpan exhaustion is what makes it work as an AI template. You don't need to run anywhere or find a station: the sweat, the breathing and the timing are already in the clip. Put in the friend who is always late, the one who never runs, or yourself on a Monday morning, and the situation tells the story.
Where does the original video come from?
The clip circulates on TikTok and in Reels as a subway meme. Who filmed it, who the man is and which city's metro it was shot in are not confirmed, so this page only describes what is visible in the video. If you know the original post, treat it as the source; vswp only uses the clip as a template.
Who and what is in it?
The vswp clip is 28 seconds long, vertical, and has two people the app has already found. The main one is the man walking at the camera, filmed close and handheld, so he fills most of the frame.
- The runner. A young man with short, tousled light-brown hair, a fitted black T-shirt with a wet streak down the chest, a black belt with a metal buckle and light-blue jeans. He breathes hard, eyes half shut, as he walks.
- The platform. A bright underground station: a white ribbed ceiling, a yellow safety strip along the edge, a train standing at the platform on the left and a staircase rising behind him on the right.
- The second person. Someone else who appears in the clip; you can give them a photo too or leave them as they are.
Everyone without a photo stays as in the original, along with the station and the sound.
How to make the Metro Run with AI
- Pick the photos. Yours for the runner, and a friend's for the second person if they agreed.
- Open the trend. Go to the Metro Run trend page. Both people are already found.
- Sign in with Telegram. No password needed.
- Add a photo to each card you want to change. JPEG, PNG or WebP, up to 6 photos.
- Choose the look. With "Keep the original look" on, the black T-shirt and jeans stay and only the face and hair change. With it off, the clothes and look come from your photo.
- Make the free preview or the full video. The preview is about 5 seconds at 480p with a small "vswp.app" mark. The full video is paid in Telegram Stars, with the price shown before you start; Stars come back automatically if a render fails or is canceled.
- Download the MP4. 480p or 720p, with the original sound, usually ready in minutes.

Which photo works for the Metro Run trend?
- A clear face, eyes visible. The runner is close to the lens the whole time, so the face is what people see. A sharp, well-lit photo looking at the camera works better than a small face in a group shot.
- Short or tied-back hair reads best. His hair is short and messy from running. Your own hairstyle comes from the photo, so long loose hair will show, and fast head motion around it can need another take.
- Your own outfit. For your clothes instead of the sweaty black T-shirt, use a full-body photo of one person and turn "Keep the original look" off. Keep it on if the wet T-shirt is the joke you want.
- The second person. Give them a photo only if you want them changed; otherwise they stay exactly as in the clip.
