What is the Hotel Lobby AI trend?
In September 2026 the clip became one of the most copied AI video templates on TikTok and X. People swap the rappers for an unexpected pair: two cats, Walter White and Jesse Pinkman from Breaking Bad, footballers, former presidents. Know Your Meme lists it as the Quavo "Hotel Lobby" AI trend. The joke is the contrast: two people who would never rap together trade lines at one mic like old partners.
Where does the original Hotel Lobby video come from?
The original is "Quavo & Takeoff - HOTEL LOBBY | A COLORS SHOW", posted on the COLORS YouTube channel on June 17, 2022. You can watch the original performance, which has more than 120 million views.
The song, "Hotel Lobby (Unc & Phew)", came out on May 20, 2022 as the first single of Unc & Phew, the duo Quavo and Takeoff of Migos started that year. The name is a family thing: Quavo is Takeoff's uncle ("Unc"), and Takeoff is his nephew ("Phew").
Takeoff was killed in Houston on November 1, 2022, a few months after this performance, so for many fans it's one of the last clear images of the two together, and some find AI edits of him uneasy. On September 23, 2026, as the trend spread, Quavo reposted the original on X. Keep your version friendly and respectful.
Who and what is in it?
The vswp clip is a 29-second part of the performance, with both rappers already found. It's one wide shot: an orange wall that glows brighter in the middle, a yellow stage, a studio mic hanging between the two, and the COLORS logo in the bottom-left corner. Both men are seen from head to toe.
- Takeoff, on the left in the poster frame: an orange, blue and white striped shirt, white sunglasses, light jeans, white sneakers.
- Quavo, on the right: an orange short-sleeve shirt, black leather shorts, black boots, dark sunglasses, one hand raised to his mouth.
Both wear long locs, and both outfits pick up the orange of the wall.
How to make the Hotel Lobby video with AI
- Open the trend. Go to the Hotel Lobby trend page and sign in with Telegram, no password needed.
- Add the photos. One for Takeoff, one for Quavo, or just one of them. A rapper without a photo stays as in the original.
- Choose the look. With "Keep the original look" on, the outfits stay and only faces and hair change. Off, the look comes from your photos.
- Make the free preview. About 5 seconds at 480p with a small "vswp.app" mark, enough to check both faces.
- Make the full video. It's paid in Telegram Stars, and you see the price first. If a render fails or you cancel it, the Stars come back automatically.
- Download or share. An MP4 at 480p or 720p with the original song, usually ready in minutes.

Which photo for each role?
- Cast it like Unc & Phew. They're uncle and nephew, so pairs like big and little brother or coach and player fit best. Quavo's place goes to the older or louder one.
- Make the face count. The shot is wide and faces are small, so use a sharp, well-lit photo of one person without sunglasses.
- Your hair replaces the locs. Hair changes even with the original look kept, so pick a photo that shows yours clearly.
- Full body for your own clothes. With the look off, a full-body photo carries clothes, hair and silhouette best.
- Mind Quavo's hand. Things covering a face can need another take, so check the preview.
