Telegram Stars (⭐) are Telegram's own currency for digital goods and services inside bots and mini apps. You buy them in Telegram with the payment options it offers you, and then spend them in a bot with a single tap, without typing card details into a third-party site. On vswp, every video is priced in Stars, you top up through the bot @vswpapp_bot, and the exact price shows before you start.
What are Telegram Stars?
Stars are a balance that lives in your Telegram account. Bots, channels and mini apps use them to sell digital things: paid features, content, subscriptions, or in our case, AI videos. The payment happens inside Telegram, so the service you pay never sees your card or your bank.
A few things are worth knowing up front:
- Stars belong to digital goods. They are meant for things delivered online, not for physical products.
- The price in your money is set by Telegram. What a pack of Stars costs in your currency is shown by Telegram or by your phone's app store when you buy. It can differ between countries and platforms.
- You see the total before you confirm. Telegram asks you to confirm every payment in Stars, so nothing is charged by surprise.
How do you get Telegram Stars?
You can buy Stars in two common ways:
- Right at the moment you pay. If a bot asks for more Stars than you have, Telegram offers to buy the missing ones on the spot. This is the easiest path for most people.
- In advance, in Telegram's settings. The app has a Stars section where you can see your balance and buy a pack.
Payment methods depend on your device and country: Telegram shows the ones available to you. If one option doesn't work, try another device or another method Telegram lists.
Why does vswp use Telegram Stars?
vswp puts people into videos with AI: you add a photo for each person to replace, and the moves, camera, lighting and sound stay as in the original. Sign-in is already through Telegram, with no password, so paying through Telegram keeps everything in one account. It also works the same way on a phone and on a computer, in any of the site's languages, and vswp never sees your card details.
How do you pay for a video on vswp with Stars?
- Sign in. Open vswp and sign in with Telegram.
- Prepare the video. Pick a trend or upload a clip of 1 to 120 seconds, up to 150 MB, and add a photo to each person's card. Our step-by-step guide on how to put yourself in a video covers this part.
- Check the price. Before you start, the app shows the price in ⭐ and the estimated time. The price depends on the length of the part, the quality (480p or 720p) and how many people you replace.
- Top up if needed. Press the top-up button next to your ⭐ balance on the site, or open @vswpapp_bot in Telegram. Pick a pack of Stars in the bot and confirm the payment. Bigger packs come with bonus Stars.
- Go back and create the video. Your balance updates on the site, and you can press Create the full video.
What does a video cost in Stars?
There is no single price, and we don't list fixed numbers here, because the price is calculated for each video. Three things move it:
| What changes | Effect on the price |
|---|---|
| Length of the part (up to 30 seconds per render) | Longer costs more |
| Quality | 720p costs more than 480p |
| Number of people you replace | More people cost more |
The exact price appears before you press the button, so you can shorten the part, pick 480p, or replace fewer people first. Your first full video also comes with a discount for new users.
Can you try vswp before buying Stars?
Yes. Every new user gets one free preview: a few seconds of their video at 480p, taken from where the people with photos are on screen, with a small "vswp.app" mark. Press Make the free preview to use it. Finding the people in a video is free as well. Our guide on what is free on vswp explains the preview and its limits in detail.
When do Stars come back?
Stars are taken from your vswp balance when a render starts. If the render fails or is canceled, they come back to that balance automatically, and you can use them for the next video.
A finished video works differently. Pressing Create video again makes a new take, which is a new render with its own price. This is generative AI, not frame-exact editing, so each take comes out a little different.
Can you get Stars from friends?
You can earn bonus Stars by inviting people. Your personal link is in the account menu on the site ("Invite a friend"), or send /invite to the bot. When a friend who joined through your link tops up for the first time, you both get bonus Stars.
A few safety tips
- Top up only through the official bot, @vswpapp_bot, or the button on vswp.app. vswp never asks for your card details, a code from Telegram or your password.
- Check the bot's name before paying. Fake bots can copy a name with a small change.
- Use your own content. By pressing Create video you confirm you have the right to use the video and the photos, so ask before you use someone else's photo.
