What is the Vossi Bop trend?
It is a dance-and-rap clip built on one of the best-known UK rap tracks of the last decade. The setting is unmistakable: the wide, empty roadway of Westminster Bridge in the soft light of early morning or dusk, the green bridge railings, the river behind, the London Eye and Big Ben in the background. In the middle of it a man in a casual olive field jacket, a navy sweater over a light shirt and jeans walks toward the camera, bobs to the beat, claps and mouths the lyrics as if he owned the bridge.
The fun is the contrast. Nobody expects this person to know the words of a grime-era banger, let alone the dance, and that is exactly why the clip gets shared. People post their versions as "me on my way to work", "dad when his song comes on" or simply to tag a friend who would never dance in public. It is searched as Vossi Bop, the Stormzy Vossi Bop dance, the Westminster Bridge dance and the London bridge dance AI video.
Where does the original video come from?
The song and the location come from Stormzy. "Vossi Bop" was released in April 2019 and became his first UK number-one single as a lead artist; it later appeared on his album "Heavy Is the Head". Its official music video, directed by Henry Scholfield, opens with Stormzy alone in the middle of an empty Westminster Bridge with the London Eye and Big Ben behind him, and Idris Elba makes a cameo in it. The title refers to a dance move made popular by the dancer NL Vossi around 2015.
The trend clip copies that famous opening: the same bridge, the same vertical, close camera, the same track. We have not confirmed who made the version used in this trend or when it first went viral, so this page does not link a source. On vswp it is listed as a TikTok filter-style clip set to "Vossi Bop".
Who and what is in it?
There is one person to replace: the man on the bridge. In the original he wears an olive-green field jacket with chest pockets, a navy crew-neck sweater, a light blue collared shirt and jeans. The clip moves through a few moments:
- The walk-in. He comes toward the camera down the middle of the bridge, the railings and the river on both sides.
- The bop. He rocks his shoulders and bounces to the beat, the camera swaying with him.
- Clap and rap. He claps his hands together and raps the lyrics to the lens, close enough that his face fills much of the frame.
Your version keeps the same bridge, light, camera moves and track; only the dancer changes.
How to make the Vossi Bop with AI
- Open the Vossi Bop trend and sign in with Telegram. There is no password.
- The dancer is already found. Give him your photo (JPEG, PNG or WebP).
- Decide on "Keep the original look". On, the field jacket, sweater and jeans stay and only the face and hair change; off, the clothes come from your photo.
- Press "Make the free preview" to see about 5 seconds at 480p with a small "vswp.app" mark; every new user gets one.
- Press "Create the full video". The price in Telegram Stars is shown before you start, and the Stars come back if a render fails or is canceled.
- Download the MP4 at 480p or 720p with the original sound, typically ready in minutes, and share it.
By starting a video you confirm you have the right to use it and the photo, so ask before you put your dad or a friend on Westminster Bridge. More clips are in the trends list.
Which photo works best?
- A clear, front-facing face. The man talks and raps close to the lens, so the face is the star here. A sharp, evenly lit photo looking at the camera keeps the likeness through the claps and lip movements.
- Upper body is enough, full body for your own outfit. He is seen mostly from the waist up; if you turn "Keep the original look" off, a photo that shows your jacket or top carries your style best.
- Daylight photos match the scene. The bridge is lit by soft, even outdoor light, so an outdoor photo or one by a window blends in naturally.
- One person in the photo. A group shot can mix up who becomes the dancer.
